Hour of Code™ is a nationwide initiative to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming. At this free, family-friendly workshop, we welcome all individuals age 6 and above to receive an introductory experience to coding and computer science in a safe, supportive environment. Students will choose themes of Angry Birds, Minecraft, Moana, Star Wars or Dance Party for their hands-on project as they watch video-based tutorials, complete coding objectives, and learn basic coding skills. No prior experience is needed but familiarity with a computer keyboard and mouse is helpful. Parents, please plan to stay and assist early readers during the program.
Seats are limited and registration is required through the Valley Community Center.
