DESCRIPTION:Create an interactive story the Mad Libs® way!\n\n\nIn this fun and engaging workshop\, learners age 9 and above will further their coding skills in Scratch by creating a Mad Libs® story using the coding basics of sequencing\, events\, inputs\, outputs and string manipulation. Not sure what string manipulation is? Then come to the workshop! \n\nPrior Scratch or block-based coding experience is required.\nA Scratch account is not required but recommended for students who want to save their programs.\nA parent or guardian is required to complete the registration process and learners under the age of 13 require a parent or guardian to be present during the workshop.\nPlease review our program policies before registering.\n\nNOTE: If you need to cancel a reservation\, please contact us so the reservation may be made available to someone else. \nTo learn more\, visit techjourney.org/techtime. \nDeveloped and maintained by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology\, Scratch is a great way for students to learn introductory coding. Not only is Scratch fun\, but by using blocks (think digital LEGOs®) instead of text\, emphasis is placed on learning coding fundamentals rather than worrying about the syntax of a programming language. Scratch also brings together communities of content creators by allowing Scratchers to share their work\, remix and learn from others.
