DESCRIPTION:Tech Journey is privileged to organize and sponsor FIRST® LEGO League (FLL) teams for students in central Iowa. Each team consists of six to ten students in grades 4 through 8 and is guided by two or more adult volunteer coaches. Each year teams research a real-world problem such as food safety\, recycling\, energy\, water or space exploration and are challenged to develop and present a solution. Teams must also design\, build and program an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS®\, then compete against other teams on a table-top playing field. One or more Tech Journey-sponsored teams will be competing at this Iowa FLL Qualifyier Event for a chance to compete at the Iowa State FLL Championship in January.
