Youth age 8–13 require a parent or guardian to be present during the meetup.\nWhen registering\, please select the appropriate ticket which tells us if the student will be bringing his/her own laptop computer or would like to reserve and use one of our computers.\nAll skillsets are welcome! Those with advanced knowledge will be assisted in creating more advanced projects.\nPlease be respectful to the volunteer leaders\, mentors\, and sponsoring or hosting facility. SUMMARY:Ready Set Robot!
DESCRIPTION:Ready Set Robot is an introductory enrichment experience for youth ages 8+ to freely explore and learn about robotics. At this fun\, hands-on workshop\, students receive a brief overview of robotics and then spend time programming age-appropriate robots in a safe and supportive environment. No prior experience is needed but familiarity with a computer keyboard and mouse is helpful for programming most of the robots. Parents\, we encourage you to enjoy this learning experience with younger students. Food will be provided at the end of the program.
