Orientation

Students new to Tech Camp in 2022 will attend an orientation to learn more about Tech Journey and what it means to be a student of the Tech Camp program.

Future Ready Iowa

Returning students will get an overview of the resources available to high school students through the Future Ready Iowa initiative.

3D Modeling, Room 145
This session introduces students to CAD with Onshape, an online product development platform that enables users and teams to focus on the design phase of the engineering process.

Cybersecurity, Room 147
With a brief overview of careers and opportunities in the cybersecurity field, students will collaborate and go on a journey to find and evaluate security vulnerabilities.

Data Mining with Python, Room 1168
In this technology exploration session, students will explore use of Python for data mining and aggregation by creating scripts that write a CSV file and then perform statistical analysis against the data.

Intro to VS Code & Git, Room 148
Students attending Tech Camp for the first time will be introduced to the basic features of VS Code and Git as standard tools of software development. They will use these tools as their development environment during the Tech Camp program.

Maker Camp: Agile Manifesto & Methods (Part 1), Room 1170
Veteran Tech Camp students will learn about the various methods of Agile as they develop a special product to be used by all Tech Camp students later for a group challenge on Thursday at lunch.
