By registering as a Tech Journey volunteer for the specified Tech Journey activity, you acknowledge, fully understand, and willingly agree to the following policies and guidelines.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Use of Tech Journey computer systems may be granted to volunteers participating in a Tech Journey activity. Details about access and use of computer systems and information for activity participants can be found in our Computer Use Policy.
By registering as a Tech Journey volunteer, you acknowledge your role and responsibility in a position of influence for enhancing the personal growth and development of youth participating in our programs. You agree to treat all activity participants with respect, courtesy and dignity as a positive role model. Details prohibiting harassment and acts of violence as well as expectations regarding child protection can be found in our Safety Policy.
PRIVACY POLICY
By registering as a Tech Journey volunteer, you consent to Tech Journey using the information which you have provided to contact you directly regarding your registration and related activity. You furthermore consent to being added to Tech Journey’s contact list for the purpose of sending emails about the Tech Journey organization, its programs and future activities or events. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for additional details.
MEDIA RELEASE
Photos may be taken at Tech Journey activities and those photos may be used in promotional and marketing materials by Tech Journey, Inc., and/or its affiliates. By registering as a Tech Journey volunteer, you consent to yourself being videotaped and photographed while being involved in a Tech Journey activity for the purpose of sharing, in both print and electronic media forms, what Tech Journey and its affiliates does with our community. You give Tech Journey and its affiliates the irrevocable right to use, reproduce, or publish your image and likeness, in all forms (including photographs and video) and all types of media, for any lawful purpose. You also waive any right to approve or inspect the finished product, including written copy. You additionally waive any right to compensation arising or related to the use of your image and likeness.
LIABILITY WAIVER & RELEASE
By registering as a Tech Journey volunteer, you acknowledge, fully understand, and willingly agree that some activities carry inherent risks. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risk, both known and unknown, even risk from the negligent acts or omissions of others, and assume full responsibility for your participation in the Tech Journey activity. You waive any and all claims against and fully release from liability Tech Journey, Inc., for any damages, claims, injuries, losses, or lawsuits resulting from your participation in this activity. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tech Journey, Inc., including its leadership, staff and other volunteers, from any harm or damages that may occur directly or indirectly by your participation.
